TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses finding insurance that meets the Thai government's COVID-19 coverage requirements, initially believed to be at least $100,000. Several commenters share their experiences and suggestions, mentioning specific companies like AXA, LUNA, and Revolut, along with various policy costs and coverage details. Some clarify that the minimum required coverage has recently changed to $50,000, but many prefer policies with higher limits for better protection.

You can get a quote off the AXA Sawasdee site without committing to pay. 30 days for a 59 year old will cost me Bt2770. I wouldn't be surprised if they are revising prices and offerings after the change to the minimum as well (their website is currently down).

Note they also cover asymptomatic infection - which some DON'T. So make sure you check.

Added: In fact yes, they are:

If anyone is looking for cheap travel insurance that they accept try Revolut premium it cost only £6.99/ MONTH or 9.99$/ MONTH medical insurance limit: £10,000,000 also covers Covid expenses.

The maximum trip duration is 90 days which is acceptable for an STV visa.

I used Insubuy, under $100 for 90 days.

Also looks like coverage will drop to 50k for nov 1 but doesn’t sound like the cost will change much

This is probably the most asked question of the year you can search group going to get same answers

AXA

LUNA

TIP INSURE

Something wings

I have used Arawan Namak as my broker everytime i have come in. Search group you will find her contact.

Most important think to check is if you are covered if you are positive with no symptoms, or someone close to you is positive and you get hospitalised because of that, some people have found out the hard way that there insurance doesnt cover that, which is why i use a broker and actual person you can talk to and check rather than an online form which could save you a couple of hundred baht but cost you a lot of money in the long run.

I bought a worldwide one at similar price too. Covered everything related to covid and other things travel insurance generally include. Airlines including the low-cost ones also offer complimentary insurance. Embassies accept them
