Just got my visa application canceled because I missed my middle name in application process.

Indeed that's totally my fault but do we have to pay 340$ each time a mistake is made ?

I felt more secure to apply online when I heard that if you don't have all the documents the will ask you for more documents instead of immediately canceling the application.

This is some of the things that would never happen when applying physicall. I'm very disgusted about that behavior to be honest.

Context: I have dual nationality.

Hello! Can anyone advise if it’s better to apply for the DTV visa using my Taiwan passport rather than my U.S. passport, especially if I’m applying FROM Taiwan? I’ve been using my U.S. passport to travel in and out of Thailand, but I wonder if using my Taiwan passport might offer any advantages in this application process.

Tutorial.

Before applying, check the web for ppl who successfully applied from the exact same situation as yours. often they share files they provided. use them.

the application site is tricky. you can't change it, you can't trick it.

so before you finally submit, you check each and every letter of your data.

the passport scan function is the direct way to being rejected. scan, and then check and mostly edit each field, so they match your passport.

deliver what they ask for. not more, not less.

have more money on your account than the equivalent of 500k baht. exchange rates change, and the process can last longer.

you can't appeal, you can't "talk to somebody". so be diligent, don't mess around. each pdf can only be one file. if you have more pages, ask google how to connect them.

ignore facebook groups. the amount of false and guessed info is tremendous.

finally: different nationalities have different levels of requirements. different countries may ask for different documents. so think twice where you want to apply.

Admin if this post is acceptable I would appreciate the groups input

Interested to hear feedback on what seems to be a unique situation.

Applied DTV online 12th November using Malaysia as my application country (Australian passport holder with long term resident visa in Malaysia)

Received email request next day for 6 documents to be provided with two needing "Embassy authentication" (Malaysian Foreign affairs department authentication with notary endorsement as my company and employment contract are both Malaysian)

Managed to get both these completed in one day and submitted Thursday 14th along with passport all pages, proof of rental in Thailand and proof of income (even though funds proof had been provided)

Everything was perfect, until it wasn't..

Status show awaiting approval and then a system email was received stating

"Your visa application has been cancelled. Applicant’s date of expiry passport provided is incorrect with passport biodata page. (13 Sep 2033)

*Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email."

(yes, 13th Sept 2033 is the correct expiry date)

I emailed Thai embassy with the passport attached showing the expiry as correct but received no reply

Has anyone experienced anything like this

#Note. When I loaded the biodata page at the beginning of the application as requested, the auto page came up stating passport expiry 1933 as below photo

I edited the application as instructed but I can only think that there is a web page glitch and I seem to have no recourse

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Can you save your work? Before I begin the online DTV application process, I'd like to know if I can stop and save my work at any step in the application process, and then sign back in and pick up where I left off. I can see where there might be steps where they ask for documentation that I haven't prepared, and I will need to stop and get that documentation before proceeding. Thanks.

Hi, was hoping someone could advise me about the DTV. For context I’m a British remote worker currently living in Ecuador.

1. If I apply online can I avoid dealing with my local embassy and just do the whole process online?

2. Is there a monthly minimum I need to show I’m making or just regular payments into my bank account?

3. Do documents that they require need an apostille ?

Thanks in advance

Hello everyone!

I am a DTV holder and I’m looking to apply for a Certificate of Residence in Thailand and would appreciate any insights or tips.

• What documents do I need to prepare?

• Where should I go to submit my application?

• Any advice on the process or potential challenges?

Thanks in advance for your help!
