yeah,, shame that such a small technicality resulted in an outright rejection..

I just re-applied and paid another $600… oh well..

forgot to mention the application was rejected without the option to change anything..

So I have to pay $600 again and re-submit.

in the online application, the very first field asks “country/territory issuing travel document” in this field I entered “New Zealand” .

Later on the application is asks “place of issue” which is where I entered DIA SYD which is “department of internal affairs sydney”.

There’s some ambiguity in there I guess which caused an issue.

not sure, I’m going to try and call the embassy today and see what’s what.

Given the wording of the rejection

“Applicant provides incorrect information (country/territory issuing travel document) in the visa application.”

I’m thinking now I should have just put New Zealand in there but then technically that wouldn’t be correct so it could get rejected also..

No idea really.

thanks ash.

I’ve asked the COO to write a doc on letterhead signed by him confirming it’s a remote position and I’ll submit that.

Will update the group as to the response either way.

yes it does. It’s a proper legal doc (out of the USA) I work for a regulated firm (CFTC) so it’s all legit.

if you do it, please let me know.

I have both aussie&kiwi passport and was going to use kiwi one as I just renewed for 10 years.

My Aussie only has a year or so left on it so was just gonna use kiwi instead.

Be interested to know if it can be done

Might be worth applying via the Aussie embassy as kiwi passport is reciprocal.

No idea if that’s possible but maybe worth checking?

If you can then just book a flight via syd to collect visa (if it’s a physical stamp or whatever)?
