I have my own abn (Australian business number) for 15 years, running a small web design agency. In my cover letter I gave them a link to my business website (portfolio is at the bottom). I also attached some recent invoices showing the work completed.

Hi, I plan to apply DTV using workcation / remote worker and would like to seek some advice here.

I’m currently working as a part-time PA and

my boss is a self employed Financial Advisor for an insurance company. I would like to find out:

- is it compulsory to have a company name on the employment certificate? (I’m employed directly with my boss, not the insurance company)

- is there a minimum wages under workcation / remote worker

If there’s anyone in the group has similar situation, would appreciate if I can get some help.

I am self-employed and have an LLC from the US (California). Planning to apply for DTV next year w husband and 2 kids. I saw the following below and have a couple of questions:

1.If I am self-employed, what is my employment certificate? (I have my LLC/biz info but that seems to be a separate requirement?)

2. How do I get this authenticated? (We are not in the US now and were hoping to apply before going back next summer; can prolong our application plans if it’s necessary though).

Hi everyone, I need URGENT help with my DTV visa application as an Independent Freelancer.

I just got an email asking for more documents, even though I already submitted most during the original application. Can you please guide me on these points:

1. Business License / GST – I don’t have a registered business, I work as a freelancer with monthly contracts. Should I submit my client’s LLC? Or what else can I provide?

2. Flights & Hotel – I only gave flight number + Agoda “pay later” bookings (which now expired today). Do they want an actual ticket + fresh booking?

3. Employment Contract/Certificate – I don’t have a formal certificate, only client contracts (already submitted). Should I add letterhead + client's sign as advised, or is there another way?

4. All Passport Pages – This I can submit.

From what I hear, Mumbai consulate looks for strong proof of regular income + ability to sustain yourself in Thailand.

Would really appreciate guidance from those who have gone through this 🙏

I applied for a DTV a few days ago and was asked for further documents.

Details:

I am a freelancer who has partnered with a marketing agency and have a contract to work all of their clients. I have consistent work and a relatively high income.

Documents i already submitted:

- my partnership agreement between me and the company outlining the commitment.

- 3 months of invoices

- 3 months of bank statement showing proof of the invoices being paid.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and what document I should be sending next?

Do I have my partner write am employment certificate?

submitted my application in Jakarta and uploaded all the required documents, including:

Scanned copies of every page of my passport

Employment certificate issued by my company

Work contract

Bank statements (with monthly salary transactions)

Proof of deposit (balance meeting 500,000 THB requirement)

Jakarta entry stamp

Hotel booking confirmation

Location screenshots

But despite all this, my application was still rejected.

I carefully checked everything and made sure there were no mistakes in my submission.

The rejection came so unexpectedly, leaving me completely unprepared.

Has anyone done a recent 180days extention in BKK? How was the process?

I’m planning to apply for the new DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) under the remote worker / digital nomad category.

I’m currently employed full-time by a foreign company (based in Israel), and I have a formal contract.

However, the contract doesn’t specifically mention remote work — so I’d love to get clarity:

👉 What exactly do I need to submit for the “employment certificate/contract” part?

Would an additional letter from the company confirming I’m allowed to work remotely from Thailand be enough?

Also — I’m applying from Israel. Is there anything specific I should know or prepare differently when applying from here (documents, embassies, translations, etc.)?

Any recent experience or tips would be super appreciated 🙏

Hi there, I applied for DTV (Workcation) at Delhi Consulate on 28 May and got 'Application Cancelled. Disqualified'.

Here is the overview of the info and documents I submitted:

1. Have visited Thailand before: Yes (but this was from my old passport and I got renewed passport just few days before applying DTV)

2. Proof of current address: Arrival stamp in India from 15 days before applying the visa (but this was from old passport) yet nothing about old passport I mentioned in the application.

3. Proof Of Remote Work: Provided my NZ and India Company Extract initially. Was requested Employment contract 5 days after I applied, which I created and signed and stamped myself with all details regarding remote work, salary/dividend etc.

4. Proof of funds: Deposited 16k USD worth of BTC into Xapo Bank, converted to USD 1 day before applying the visa and sent the USD statement. Also there were multiple transaction of 2k-3k USD in and out every day from last 3 months. Also added Revolut NZD statement for 3 months which had not much balance but numerous transactions of 2k-3k USD and also many card transactions in Thailand.

5. Was also asked more documents for current address proof, for which I sent my Indian driver license and National ID (Adhaar).

3 days after submitting the additional documents, I got the email 'Application Cancelled. Disqualified'.

Now I am planning to apply again but don't want to make any mistakes. I am currently in Thailand 60 day visa free and planning to transfer my BTC again to Xapo bank again but this time keep for 3 months after converting to USD. But I am not sure that the bank statement may have caused the application cancellation last time. Could it be passport arrival stamp before the even the passport was issued? Could it be the self attested employment certificate?

What are your guesses and advice?
