Get a TR visa from a Thai embassy in your country - that’s 60 days to start with that can be extended by 30 days whilst in Thailand if you wish to.

every city on the planet has an area somewhere where hook up bars and sex shops exist - some are a bigger feature of the town than others. We know where it us in Hua Hin too but its not hard to avoid and even ignore.

We got the least sex tourism vibe from Hua Hin. Good expat community. Reasonable healthcare available from a choice of hospitals. Several shopping centres providing expat groceries and goods.

Despite Australia being part of the Commonwealth and ultimately having the King as the head of Government, the two countries, Australia and Great Britain have separate immigration laws that each require visas for entry to the respective country.

When we arrived, the airport immigration officer gave us 59 days - I assume because he counted wrong when he set his stamps that day. We have since got a 30 day extension but it is from day 59 so only 89 days total. Luckily we are leaving on day 88 so it doesn’t matter but it could have been a bigger problem…check your date stamp folks !!

none of that info is required for a TR visa - are you absolutely sure you have picked the right visa option. In Australia, a TR vusa can only be applied for by mail or in person at the embassy.

So is this a 60 day tourist visa (a TR visa ) or something else

Wise rocks. Great exchange rates. Fair levels of fees. Really easy to use, helpful apps/websites (there are two - the conversion app for price checking and the account app which is like your bank’s app) and a transaction card that is accepted anywhere that Visa cards are.
