If my wife and I go in from US with a walk in 30 day visa, can we make a border run and then return. Will we get another 30days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original concern is whether a border run after entering Thailand with a visa exempt category will grant another 30 days upon re-entry. It’s confirmed that you can get a 30-day extension at a local immigration office on each entry. However, there are limitations: only two land border entries are allowed within a calendar year under visa exemption rules, while air entries can be unlimited unless denied by immigration. Moreover, if needed, applying for a 30-day extension in Thailand is an option, which might be more feasible than making border runs.

Get a TR visa from a Thai embassy in your country - that’s 60 days to start with that can be extended by 30 days whilst in Thailand if you wish to.

We are in Thailand , we tried to get a 60 day visa before we left but to late. Rather than spend the time and money going in and out , find the local immigration department in Thailand and apply for a 30 day extension, which we did last week. Took a couple of hours paid B1900 and there you have it.

What is a walk in 30 day visa ? Been to Thailand 26 times never heard of walk in visa 🤔
shouldn’t it be safe to say most people who come here don’t really know what they’re asking? So all we can do is observe, evaluate and ask until it’s understood, right?
But in fairness I’ve seen enough where people don’t care enough to ask correctly or to take 20 seconds to try this thing called google. So…there’s that! 🤣🤣🤣

On each entry for visa exempt you can get a 30 day extension at a local immigration office.
You can do two land border entries using visa exempt in a calendar year. Technically no limit via air entries until the immigration officer says no.
