Hi all

Please be kind….

What are we doing wrong?

We are trying to organise a 60 day visa online for our pending travel to the kingdom of smiles from the UK

Our aim is to sort a retirement visa at the earliest opportunity upon arrival upon which I appreciate we will need to provide a lot of information

However,

The form we are filling in is asking for a letter from our employer (we do not work)?

A letter from a school (we did not work in education)?

A pension statement (that is not due until October)?

The Identity of the person inviting us to stay (as in a Thai person)?

Is this correct? Do we really need to provide such information for a 60 day visa?

What happens if you do not have the above (as we don’t)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused about the requirements for applying online for a 60-day visa to Thailand, particularly regarding the necessity of documents like an employer's letter, school letter, pension statement, and the identity of a Thai host. Several commenters suggested alternative documentation, clarified the type of visa being applied for, and recommended checking the specific visa type to ensure the correct application process.

@Andrew ******
yes, initially a 60 day tourist visa

none of that info is required for a TR visa - are you absolutely sure you have picked the right visa option. In Australia, a TR vusa can only be applied for by mail or in person at the embassy.

If it is then none of the questions apply

Use your hotel booking for the person inviting you.

Anything else that doesn't apply to a tourist just upload an image that says "not applicable"
