Hi all
Please be kindβ¦.
What are we doing wrong?
We are trying to organise a 60 day visa online for our pending travel to the kingdom of smiles from the UK
Our aim is to sort a retirement visa at the earliest opportunity upon arrival upon which I appreciate we will need to provide a lot of information
However,
The form we are filling in is asking for a letter from our employer (we do not work)?
A letter from a school (we did not work in education)?
A pension statement (that is not due until October)?
The Identity of the person inviting us to stay (as in a Thai person)?
Is this correct? Do we really need to provide such information for a 60 day visa?
What happens if you do not have the above (as we donβt)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused about the requirements for applying online for a 60-day visa to Thailand, particularly regarding the necessity of documents like an employer's letter, school letter, pension statement, and the identity of a Thai host. Several commenters suggested alternative documentation, clarified the type of visa being applied for, and recommended checking the specific visa type to ensure the correct application process.
