it’s actually more like not minding to pay more (it makes little difference to them) than actually like it, but I guess some might like to do it for status.

Not everything is more expensive in the capital, that’s just the caricature people like to wave around. I’m in the Chumphon Archipelago (Samui, Phangan, etc.). I wish taxis cost as little as in Bangkok. Accommodation is roughly the same.

I’m in Thailand now, but coming back after a new visa in October. I know what to expect of different cities in terms of lifestyle, I meant what part of the country suffers less from monsoon season in October. Sorry, I wasn’t clear.
