I guess it pays to do a little enquiring to find out which branches are more permissive. I bet if you come in very politely and dressing smart the discretionary aspect will work in your favor too. I’ll try my luck with 60 days when I do my second incursion into Thailand later this year. Thanks!

you're reading too much into it. I didn't ask any agents to share any secrets, just to confirm that they can achieve something that would otherwise not be possible via the standard route. How they manage to do it is something I didn't ask.

well, if you ensure that an extension that shouldn't happen in normal circumstances unless it's preceded by the 30-day one will happen while not being preceded by the 30-day one, you are effectively bypassing it. :-)

so you bypass the 30-day extension first rule and offer a 60-day covid extension directly... up to August, 24th, I would assume.
