Hello. I am applying for a tourist visa to enter Thailand and I am unsure if the "document indicating current location" (as they call it in the form) should be my home country's bank statement, because it's in Portuguese and it doesn't state the country name.
I know a lot of people use a simple utility bill, but I am constantly moving and don't have utility bills. I am assuming those should have the same issue (being printed in native language and no stating the country name), but I thought I would ask for feedback anyway, as it would be annoying to pay $50 (or whatever it is they charge) and have the request declined.
Thank you.
TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a tourist visa to Thailand, you can use various documents to indicate your current location. Acceptable options discussed include a driver's license, utility bill, passport, flight ticket, or a certification of residence. It's essential that the document clearly indicates your location; however, if it is in a foreign language and does not specify your country, it may raise questions. Some have successfully submitted a passport with a visa from the current country as adequate proof. Always check the specific requirements and consider reaching out for clarification to ensure your application is not declined.
