Hoping for some advice...

My husband is currently on a 1-year retirement visa. Now the change in law means he can apply for a dependent visa as I have a 1-year work visa. He's applying via UK embassy e-visa, and we'll go across to Vietnam and reenter to activate it. His current retirement visa expired on 4th Nov. If he leaves on the 4th and enters in the 5th, will that cause any issues? My HR dept. is saying he would need to go to immigration and get the cancelled stamp on the retirement visa or it could cause issues is that correct?

I have recently been told that an 11 year old American who entered a little over a year ago on a tourist visa will be expedited and blacklisted for 1-5 years. I thought there was an exception for those under 15. Is that the case? Thanks for the support!

Information for those confused about 90 day reporting when you duck in/out of Thailand regularly. Immigration official in Hatyai confirmed to me that the 90 day clock restarts every time to come back into the country.

So, if you travel in/out regularly then you don't need to report at all.

Ok keyboard warriors. It's time for some Morton Downey Jr stuff (for those who remember.

I went to Ayutthaya zoo late Feb. Paid money to take photos with 4 big cats (and sexually harass a tiger, per attendant instructions). After returning to USA, It has been brought to my attn that they are using one of my photos as advertisement. Flattering... I know I'm not the tasters choice guy, but is this still unethical/illegal? I certainly wasn't asked permission and dam sure wasn't offered any compensation.

I’m on a non O volunteer visa and the first 90 days expires soon. Seems like I can’t get an extension due to work permit issues. I only need another 60 days to finish my tasks.

Can I do a border run and return same day with a tourist 60 day visa?

What’s the process and best way to do this from Chiang Mai?

Hi, I really enjoy this group very informative. I am having a problem trying to find information about martial arts weapons, what is legal and what is illegal have been reading through the Thai government laws and they mostly talk about gun laws.

I have tried now for a week and still little info, if someone can help point me in the right direction much appreciated.

I have been practicing for over 40 years and have a vast collection and would like to bring them with me when I make the move, some I have had since I was 12 years old, again thanks for any and all help.
