Is it worth using Thai Visa Centre for 90-day reporting, or is it easy to do it myself?

Hi I would like to know if anyone here has engaged the services of Thai Visa Centre to assist with your 90-day reporting obligations? If so, please let me know whether your experience with this company went smoothly? Thanks v much 😊
Answer summary
The consensus among community members is that while using the Thai Visa Centre (TVC) for 90-day reporting can be smooth and efficient, many expats find the process easy enough to handle on their own, either by going to a local immigration office or submitting reports online. Comments highlight that the in-person reporting only takes about 5 minutes, and there are inexpensive online options available. Some users recommend TVC's services, especially for those who prefer assistance or have challenges with the online system, but the majority suggest personal handling due to its simplicity and no associated costs.

Thanks everyone! Yeah I gotta go in person but the v long commute and round trip taxi fare makes enlisting an agent the more rational option.

How to do 90 daya report: bring your passport, go to the imigration office, give them the passport, get the passport back, go back home.

You can do 90 day reporting or pay the 2000B fine, no other consequences. Many expats do this and just pay the 2000B fine with each new extension.

To do a 90 day report you've got to be joking. Takes about 5 minutes. Only someone who's a bit slow or totally useless would need an agent to do that for them.

Graeme Edgar If online reporting is possible, then of course it is super easy to do yourself.

But how come you don't know that online reporting is not always possible ?

Then it can be worth it to pay an agent (depending where you live).

It costs me more for a metered taxi if I'd go do it myself.

You got to be joking if you think anyone would be stupid enough to do it themself in this situation.

Please note that if you have already submitted your initial 90-day report in person, and have not left Thailand since then, you may be able to submit future reports for free through the official online system:

*******************************

Our service is intended for people who cannot use the online system and need in-person reporting assistance.

The price is 500 THB for a single report, or 1,500 THB for a package of 4 reports, which works out to 375 THB per report. Package credits do not expire.

Our system will remind you when your next report is due. If you have submitted through us before, completing a new request only takes a few clicks.

Once you submit a request with us, we keep you updated throughout the process. When the report is completed, we immediately send you a digital copy. We then mail the original document to you and provide the EMS tracking number once it has been sent.

Is simple and you can do it without engaging agency.

For annual renewal is troublesome, you can consider using agency

Some individuals are not able to use the online 90-day reporting system.

A good example is DTV holders. Most need to leave Thailand every 6 months for a border bounce, which often means they must complete their 90-day report in person.

For cases like this, many customers buy our 4-report package. It works out to 375 THB per report and already includes EMS postage for returning the original immigration receipt.

It's 500 thb to do it with TVC. But if it's your 2nd reporting, you can do it yourself online in 5 min. If it's your first, either go to immigration or do it with TVC. They don't need your passport. They have more than 100 000 customers.

Also we have over 100,000 customers for various services not specifically reporting.

Additionally we charge as low as 375b for those who need this service regularly, and this already includes the EMS fee for tracked postage.

Richie Bates depends where you live.

Tell me why should I pay more for a metered taxi to do it myself instead of paying an agent less ?

Oh.. I forgot... if I take a few buses (3 connections) instead of a taxi I could go cheaper than paying an agent 🀣🀣🀣 totally worth waiting at several stops and walking in the heat or rain.

Todd McGowan or you can put it in the post for the first report, so there is no must go to Immigration

Osian Ledger no, it doesn't take two minutes does it? You drive to an immigration office near you. You stand in line there to report. You drive home. You waste half a day for nothing.

He is specifically talking about going to immigration as you must for the first reporting every time. Pay attention to the actual topic. Your entire post is irrelevant to the conversation
