Good morning, everyone: is it true that if I fail to make the 90-day declaration and get caught, I risk arrest in addition to a fine? Thanks.
Answer summary
Failing to submit the 90-day declaration in Thailand may result in a fine, but it does not lead to arrest. The typical maximum fine for not reporting is around 2,000 baht, though it may increase to 5,000 baht under certain conditions like having outstanding issues with immigration. Late reporting can complicate future visa applications and extensions, so it is advisable to report promptly.

No, maximum fine for missing a 90 day report is 2000b regardless of how late.

There is no legal repercussions.

Most people not on extensions and leaving (dtv) may get away with it.

Until you don't and have to pay the fine.

You won't get a new longterm extension unless you are up to date Tm30 and 90 day report.

Best Practice is just report and avoid any issues.

You will “get caught” for sure, latest when you leave the country. So better to just get the stamp on time - or leave the country briefly.

Airport immigration doesn’t check the 90 day reporting, nothing to do with them.

No... It's not a visa violation... You will be fined a maximum of THB 5000 however come extension of stay renewal time.. They may have something to say...

Paul Anthony McDermott the 5000B fine is only if you are arrested for something else, a 2000B fine is payed when doing your next extension if you didn't complete a 90 day report

Graham Seal no you don't get arrested for 90 day reporting violation, it not a visa offence, you are not on an overstay, you are legally in court with a valid permission to stay

They will typically fine you THB 2000 but they can find you upto THB 5000...been there, got the tshirt on this stuff 👍

Your fine is payed when you next do a 90 day report.. It could be with you extension, but not always

Detention (IDC): Detention at the Immigration Detention Centre (IDC) typically occurs only in cases of serious violations, such as a prolonged, deliberate overstay of your visa or failure to pay outstanding fines.

Entries: Late filing will result in negative entries on your immigration record, which can complicate future visa applications.
