When entering with a dtv did you have an onward ticket? And would you advise to get one?

Super anxious after applying for DTV in Kuala Lumpur over a week ago. Blowing up money on hotels, trying to do things outside but it just stresses me so much I can't as I have bad feelings. They hit me with requirements which I didn't expect earlier and sadly I didn't read this group before and anyway have tickets to KL for planned short trip so I thought I will apply here.

I have very complicated work situation. Company I worked for is registered in one country (there is not even consulate of this country to authenticate; they inform on website it must be done in embassy in... Bangkok, as they don't provide such services) and contract with address from another country (as they hire contractors from country with low taxes, most likely), digitally signed by both parties using Docusign.

I uploaded all of it a week ago but not exactly like they want from this very demanding list...

Any success stories from KL, Malaysia to cheer me up?

Hi,

I am doing my first land border run from Koh phangan to Malaysia and back the next day.

Someone has mentioned that they will ask me to prove I have the 500bhat still in my bank account. As far as I was aware you just go get your stamp , reset your 180days and come back.

Has anyone else experienced being questioned about proving you have the money in your bank account ?

Thank you

Hello

I would like to inquire about applying for a DTV visa to Thailand from Israel.

I am an Israeli citizen and hold an Israeli passport, but I am not a resident of Israel.

Next year, I plan to visit Israel and, during my stay, I would like to apply for a DTV visa.

My company is registered in Hong Kong (not in Israel).

Do you have any information or experience with similar cases — applying for a DTV visa through Israel while the company is based in Hong Kong?

If you’ve encountered such cases before and they were approved, I’d love to know:

Is this procedurally possible?

On average, how long does it take from the time of application until the visa is issued?

Thank you very much

DTV-approved (Workcation)

Applied in Jakarta. Submitted on May 18. The status stayed on "pending document check" until May 28 when they requested extra documents. I uploaded the documents on the same day, and the status changed to "pending approval." Get approved on 29

It might be helpful for someone: as I am Chilean, I sent all the documents and bank statements in Spanish. I just added one page in English describing what was attached.

Good luck 🍀

Hey guys what is the best embassy for the DTV (quickest turn around) I have the requirements. I have a condo in Thailand so I don’t want to be paying rent while I’m waiting outside the country for my visa to be accepted.

I’ve been told kuala lumpa/vietnam are a quick turn around.

Thanks in advance people 🫡🤝

Hello ☺️

I was hoping for some feedback.

Do you need a passport to fly from Phuket to Bangkok for proof of identification?

My friend who needs to fly with me has a Thai drivers license and I only have an identification card from Australia. Both our passports are being processed for work permits.

Obviously it is up to the airline’s discretion, I’m just curious if anyone has a negative experience where they have not been able to fly domestically within Thailand without a passport.

Thanks so much 🙏🏽

Sorry if this has been previously asked, but I couldnt find a post about this.

Is it possible to do my 90 day report at Chamchuri Square if I originally got my non-B visa at Chaengwattana? This is just a standard non-B visa.

Thanks in advance

All I've been thinking about the last couple of days is how "money talks" in Thailand. I got dressed in my Sunday best today, waltzed into a UOB and said I was moving to Bangkok, needed an account b/c I was transferring approximately 10M TBH into the country. He never flinched. Asked if I had a work permit. I said "no" - never asked for my passport. Said to try Bangkok Bank and to have a nice day.

What a waste.

Hi, i am planning to apply for dtv visa in hanoi as I read many people received their visa within 5 working days. Is that correct?

Also for bank statement, i have 500k baht in my bank account so would it be okay to just submit the latest bank account? I read their requirements on their website and they didn’t mention anything about holding for 3 months or 6 months bank statements. Can someone help me with this? Thank you!
