Hello! I just got the documents from my Bank, all the statements. But it´s all in Spanish.. Do I need a professional translation service for all of this? right now I´m searching online here in BKK for different places to do this, I hope it´s not too expensive.. as soon as I get this translated I´ll travel to Hanoi to start my DTV process

Thanks

I applied for my DTV through an agency. After it was approved, I entered the country by bus. At immigration, the officer was about to give me only 60 days, even though I had received a PDF confirmation from the agency. After I showed the officer the PDF, I was finally granted the DTV. How is it possible that it wasn’t showing up in the system?

Please help I need advice. I have a non-O spouse visa, I applied for mine and my son(17) both non-O visa from the embassy in Laos. They granted my non-o visa, but they gave my son a tourist visa.. I was told in this group that with the tourist visa I could get the non-o without having to cross back into Laos.. but I went to immigration today(Nong Khai) and they told me they can’t do it.. they said I have to start over and do the e-visa again and go back to the embassy in Laos.. so my question is- is there something that I’m supposed to say or possibly go to a bigger immigration office(Udon Thani) please tell me how can I get his visa fixed without doing the whole process over again? I’ll add that he is the step child so my Thai husband isn’t on his birth certificate but I tried to explain that on the e-visa but it’s hard because there’s no way to message back and forth you just have to add it in when you send the documents. Thank you 🙏🏻

Hello, I've seen a conflict of answer to this.... do dependants of the main DTV visa holder (my children, 9 and 7yrs) need the £11k in a bank account aswell?

They technically are obtaining a dtv visa aswell and that is one of the requirements to have that amount of money but, they are dependant on me?

Has anyone been through the process of getting this visa with children?

Thanks for any advice on this.

I got rejected & want to share my experience + hopefully get some advice on what to do next 🙏

I applied for the dtv visa at my Norwegian embassy as a remote worker. I had over 500k in my account and i showed proof of earnings from a foreign company.

I got rejected due to not holding 500k over the past 3 months, as i acquired the final amount the same month i applied. (This is understandable, even tho it did not state i had to keep it for that long in the application)

The other reason i got rejected was because i was earning too little compared to the average Norwegian salary. (They stated the average salary should be around 70k $ a year...)

I now plan to re-apply in desember as i have then held the money for over 3 months. The initial plan was to apply in Saigon but i have recently read its a high case of denied applications. Therefore i was wondering if anyone has any recent experience with the embassy in Manilla. If so, i would be really happy for any advice ☺️

I also plan to change my application to soft power activity (Muay Thai), because it seems like this way has a higher chance of getting approved.

I submitted my dtv application on Nov 3rd to Thai NY consulate. I am a resident of FL, but just recently moved and staying with family in NYC where I’m originally from. Received a document request message yesterday “Prove of your current resident in our consular jurisdiction (NY,NJ,NH,ME,MA,OH,PA,RI,VT) ,e.g. Electric bill, Gas bill, State ID, Driver's license, Lease Agreement, US bank statement”

Is there an issue with my selection of Thai NY consulate instead of Washington consulate if I’m a FL resident? I submitted proof of current location using my sister’s address and included her apartment lease agreement, NY ID card, and utility bill and she signed letter stating I am staying at her residence until Jan 2026.

Appreciate any advice familiar with this response from Thai NY consulate

Anyone else incredibly confused with how the Thai Tax Resident thing works? Seems like even government officials and agencies don’t know…. How to be in compliance ? 🤔
