Hi, I remember that in October the government will give some discounts for tourists travelling to secondary cities in Thailand. Do we already know the details?

Legal question for german people: can I Rent an Office here for workation and use it as Proof for german Tax Office, that I have a „Branch“ here? (For all other: Germany want to See to Perpetual Traveler, that you have a kind of Office Abroad or you have to pay tax in german even for your Thai income).

I got approved for my DTV! Wonderful experience dealing with Arun Thai Cooking School to obtain my DTV visa. They were willing to work with me when I needed to adjust my start date of the course in order to get my DTV approved since I had my flight already booked which threw dates out of whack.

If anyone is thinking of getting their DTV visa via a soft power activity. I highly recommend Arun Thai Cooking School. They are amazing!

EDIT: Thanks for all the replies guys! Didn’t see the Ottawa website saying 2 months. Only saw the 3 months one when I was applying on thaievisa 😅🙏 Now, we wait for October whew

So, I applied on September 7th and just received this today (Sept 17th). I already replied them asking for more information cause I’m not entirely certain I understood 😅

So on the website, it says to apply minimum 3 months prior hence why I applied in September for my trip in December.

And this part got me the most confused: “If the visa were to be issued now, it would no longer be valid by your planned travel date.”

What do they mean by that? I thought it was valid for 5 years if approved? Can someone help me please. Thank you 🙏

(Idk if this is relevant but I’m applying from Canada for Workcation)

Hi, I'm a Belgian citizen that's looking to get a DTV under soft power rules (with muay thai). I'm currently still in Belgium, but will leave to Hanoi in 2-3 weeks. is there anyone that could recommend a service that could help me get the DTV? Thanks in advance!

All of your testimonials helped me a lot, so it's my turn to come back here.

Update and question please

Hi everyone, just looking for some clarification and to vent a little too! 😅

I posted yesterday about being asked to attend an interview in London for my visa application. Since I live on an island near London (not in it), I had to book a last-minute flight last night and hotel just to attend — which cost me over £400.

✅ I attended the interview — it lasted about 5 minutes.

Now, I’ve received a follow-up email.

My questions are:

• Does the 10-working-day processing time start from today (the day of the interview)?

• Is there any chance it could be approved before the 10 days? And I will be able to go on the 24th?

When I applied on the 5th of September, I was then asked for proof of flights to Thailand, which I then booked and provided — my flight is on the 24th of September. I honestly thought that would leave plenty of time.

Before anyone asks — no, the flight isn’t flexible (my fault, I know). But it still feels crazy that it might take this long, especially after attending in person.

Feeling a bit stressed and deflated after all the effort and cost involved just to be left waiting 😞

Landlord question:

I rented my condo out with 1 year tenancy lease. My tenants agreed to rent my condo from 16/6/2025 to 30/6/2026. I did do TM30 through online and put

Check in date : 16/6/2025

Check out date (optional): 30/6/2026

Tenant not leave Bangkok or Thailand yet and she said she wants me to do TM30 for her again for “90dayreport”

Do I have to do TM30 again? For my view, I did do first-TM 30 with checkout date provided already which is 30/6/2026

Thank you for.

For those who want to apply for a DTV visa, my friend applied through a Muay Thai gym in Chiang Mai, since you have to register for a course at a gym before applying. He then flew to another country to submit the DTV visa application at the Thai embassy, but it was rejected. This Muay Thai gym is popular in this group , which is why he trusted it. I called the owner in Chiang Mai to ask for a refund, and she asked where I was. When I told her I was in Bangkok, she said that since she’s in Chiang Mai and I’m in Bangkok, I can’t do anything to her. So be careful, you might be the next unlucky one. The gym even threatened me if I left any bad reviews on Google Maps. The gym has great reviews for visas and advertises a refund policy, but when he asked for a refund, they refused. And that’s the reason why they have good reviews, because of Thailand’s defamation laws.
