What are the best currency exchange options at Suvarnabhumi Airport for arrival?

They want you to believe that, but the only way to make sure, is to compare yourself.

Furthermore the differences will be so small, that it will make no sense, to go out of your way, to get a slightly better rate.

I've been living , working and now visiting Thailand for over 30 years.

As you said , the best rates are in the basement near the airport link ticket office. As you also said , super rich do give very slightly better rates at their head office. Not only their head office though , their other downtown booths are also slightly better than their airport exchange booth but it is a miniscule difference.

Also the posters that keep repeatedly saying " you get the worst rates at airports , who would be so stupid to change money at an airport blah blah blah" . You people clearly don't know that downstairs in the basement the rates are totally different to the traps just before and after immigration.

not at the Suvarnabhumi Airport. It's a typical newbie mistake to use a money changer in the upper levels of the Suvarnabhumi Airport. The three moneychangers in the basement give you the BEST RATE of the whole of Thailand! At the moment it's 36.62.- THB per 1 USD

I always change 100 bucks to have some cash and pull the rest from the atm or exchange cash as needed.

Sorry just Google [how much is foreign transaction fee ) and you will see I'm correct. I personally pay Zero in my foreign card. And I also have thai bank account which charges a small fee if I'm. In different province.

But if your new to Thailand and don't know that Thailand will F@#k you over on ATM charges they might like to know that fact.

they’re definitely trying to take you to the cleaners. prices are ridiculous even for Sim cards for phones. They charge like two or 300 baht more than like 7-Eleven or one of the stores in the mall.
