yes , the health insurance policy I took out for my OA application started /2024 , as I assumed you needed an active policy at the point of application, consequently when I arrived in /2024, immigration stamped my passport to /2024, so I only actually got 10 months, not the expected initial 90 days and then 12 months after proof of funds etc.

As you say the Health insurance duration is crucial.
