**The following Thai consulates in S/E Asia will go to online eVisa applications ONLY starting the 8th of Oct.

They will discontinue any walk up/in person visa applications at that time.

Actually some of them stopped accepting in person applications already and have consular services closed until they open on the eVisa system on Tuesday

Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kota Bharu

Cambodia - Phnom Penh

The follow consulates are NOT going online with the eVisa system, are still "walk up consulates" BUT you need to book an appt online to get in the gate

The following consulates are NOT going online with the eVisa system (at this time) and are "walk up consulates" no appt needed

Hi, the information I have seen so far is that Malaysia is more strict and cannot even use electronic statements. It must be a physical seal. I heard that Cambodia will wait for more than a week? Would the embassy in Hanoi be better? Six months of statements are necessary, right? Proof of deposit is not enough. Thanks

How many days usually take for Malaysia Visa (visit)? I am in the very tight situation due to my thai visa is running out tomorrow .

Malaysia border bounce question:

I'm considering trying to border bounce myself (without the assistance of an agency) in two days... is there any added risk of issues if doing this on my own? As in: does the agent provide any assistance with the immigration process or they're just providing an all inclusive ticket organizing the travel there and back?

I'm on Koh Phangan but mostly want to do the border bounce myself because I found a ticket that would take me all the way to "Sadao Border" and then I would rather rent a car from there as long as everything goes smoothly with the new visa exempt entry and travel through South Thailand exploring Hat Yai, Krabi etc. Rather than jump right back into a cramped van for another 15hr drive/ferry...

Two questions: is the Sadao border crossing a good/main one for the Malaysia border bounce? And all I should need would be my passport? And are there rental cars available around the border crossing within walking distance? Or would it be better to get a bus to Hat Yai and rent a car from there to drive to the border and back to Hat Yai where I assume there are more rental car options and better rates?

[Is it possible to enter MALAYSIA more than once during 180 days?]

Does anyone have some experience travelling to Malaysia more often? Informations in the Internet are not clear, can someone help me with that?

I am Polish. I have multiple entry tourist visa in Thailand. So far I did one visa run to Malaysia (stamp below) and now I would like to visit it for longer.

1. I would like enter Malaysia on 30/31.01. by bus and stay there around 7 days.

2. After that I would like to take a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bali, stay there 7 days, after which take flight back to Kuala Lumpur and then bus back to Thailand.

My questions are:

A. How many times can I enter Malaysia still? can I still do it twice as I plan?

B. Will I receive the visa on arrival every time I come to Malaysia?

C. How many days do I have to stay in Malaysia before I will be allowed to enter Thailand on the way back?

What are the options for border bounces currently?

It seems Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar all have e-Visa programs and no Visa-free option, for Canadians such as myself. Is this true?

I ask because I need to leave Thailand to refresh my visa by Monday and the e-Visa applications all take ~3 business days so that's not gonna work.

I had a flight to Vietnam leaving tonight but they turned me away at the airport due to a small discrepancy with my approved visa, so I'm scrambling a bit here.

Is my only option Malaysia?

I searched for "non-B" in the group but didn't find much, so asking here.

I need to go to an overseas Thai consulate to apply for a Non-B visa for my upcoming work permit. My employer has recommended Laos or Malaysia. I'm also thinking of Vietnam, purely because I've never been and it would be great to see Ho Chi Min. But the ease of getting the visa is of course most important.

Any recent experience regarding the length of time it took to process the visa in either Malaysia, Laos or Vietnam? Any issues with any of the consulates?
