Hello,

I am in Ho Chi Minh City applying for the remote worker visa category.

I was in a well paid remote role for many years, but the months of April - November I was unemployed living on generous savings from a redundancy payout. I have been in new remote employment since November 2024, but cannot evidence salary during that time as I was living on my redundancy savings payout.

If I am rejected under the remote worker visa category, would this prevent me from applying again under the soft power option?

I believe I fulfil the requirements however as my case is a little bit complex and non-straightforward I feel it might just be rejected under the remote worker option and I'd be better off going the soft power option instead.

Thoughts?

Kindly appreciated β™₯️

Hi All! I am wanting to apply in person in Hanoi as I have read there is a much faster processing time than online applications. But cannot find anywhere how to book an appointment.

Any advice would be appreciated πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Applied Nov 29

Approved today

Cost: 400k krw ($275)

US Citizen

Non South Korean resident / tourist exempt visa sticker

Despite what everyone was saying about Seoul requiring Korean residency, I was actually approved.

Applied for workation. Needed to submit 3 months of bank account containing >500k thb all months. Resume. Certificate of income from government (submitted tax return). Employment certificate requesting DTV visa with official seal and signature. Lease agreement or hotel reservation (for SK or Thailand I don’t know so I submitted both).

Thanks for all the help πŸ₯°

DTV.

.

Should i apply on a website or walk in to an embassy?

.

I see this has been done both by different youtuber.

.

I will be going to Cambodia to re-enter Thailand, so it going to be a Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh.

.

Im also collecting my Documents.

.

βœ… Proof of cash, I have a bank statement showing 300k AUD under my personal name. [not business name]

.

βœ… Proof of employment - Im writing a letter to prove that I work for myself.

.

βœ… Proof of Current location- Im actually unsure of this. it could be my hotel in Cambodia once booked.

.

βœ… Passport and Photo. those are easy to get on that day.

.

Question

1- does anyone has any experience with the phnom penh embassy?

2- is my letter good enough?

3- should I go to Cambodia and apply thru embassy or do online , or will there any difference?

Hello, friends! I currently live in Thailand and will leave to get a DTV. What country would you suggest me to go to in order to get it? I've heard lots of people go to Laos and others have mentiones you've got to go to your country of origin. I'd love to hear from your experience. Thank you!

PD. I meet the requirements.

Question about DTV as a business owner

I'm the owner/sole shareholder of limited liability corporation. I don't take a salary from my company.

Even though I can provide all the necessary paperwork and show 500K THB in the bank, I'm concerned that the lack of regular documented income from my company may be an issue because that seems to be a requirement for many other DTVs.

Do they usually ask business owner applicants for proof of income?

I'm planning to apply in Penang, but I'm open to other locations if anyone has recommendations.

Any input would be much appreciated πŸ™

Is the 6 months transactions bank statement required, even though you are presenting your bank book with a copy of the transactions ? Or is either one or the other ?
