Thanks. One more question, once you're registered for online reporting, is the account registered to you (the alien) and therefore you continue to use it even if you move to a new permanent address, or is it registered just for the residence you apply from, and if you move permanent address you need a new login?

I sent in a signed copy of my landlord's ID and housebook, with the lease.

Thanks. So a completely new TM30 form and schedule; not just an updated schedule with a copy of the original TM30 form?

Tod Daniels The TM30 for me and my family is on file - I submitted it by mail, and got the receipt back 3 weeks later. Now my wife and son are due back from Laos next week, so presumably I need to re-submit it again for them. Do I have to mail in a new TM30 form, signed by my Landlord, with just my wife's and son's new arrival details on the schedule; or can I just cross out the original details on the schedule and fill in the new ones, and re-submit that? In the case of the latter, my original arrival details (which haven't changed) will still be on the same schedule as my wife's and son's? At the moment I have one TM30 receipt for all 3 of us. Can the schedule of "aliens" attached to it be updated, without the TM30 having to be completed again (I can send a copy of the original TM30 application)?

In 3 weeks, we will all go away again. So, following the letter of the law, I will have to submit new arrival details when we get back, this time for all 3 of us, when we get back. I will, again submit by mail. As it seems to take around 3 weeks for a mail-in TM30 to be processed, it's likely the one I submitted for my wife and son will still be being processed when they get the new one!

I believe so; maybe the experts can confirm. As Robert has said, young children are not fined or banned for overstaying so you could just leave it. If you intend to live permanently here, and your daughter will go to school here, you should get her the visa next time you are in the US (if you can't get it here) and then the Extension. If you're only here for a few years, I wouldn't bother.

Was she born in Thailand? If so, you don't need to do anything in a hurry. She is legally in Thailand if she was born here. However in time you will need to get her a US passport as she will need this to leave Thailand. When she leaves You just show her new US passport and Thai birth certificate at passport control and she leaves. Should you wish to bring her back to Thailand you should get her a visa. If she has an O visa you can add her to your Extension as your dependent.

Any work, paid or unpaid, requires a work permit. The chances of getting into trouble by doing a few weeks as an intern are minimal.
