After being "stuck" in Japan since 2020, I'm planning to return to Thailand in April 2022 to search for work.

I have an American passport so I will arrive on a visa exempt 30 day entry, which can be extended once for a total of 60 days (if I understand correctly).

I'm not sure if this is enough time to secure a suitable job.

My question is: what other options do I have to extend my stay until I can secure a job?

-Thanks in advance

Hey all, hope there is on here there can help me find a answer to what to do.

I'm in that situation that I was on a non b visa with work permit, the place I worked closed down, don't have the work permit anymore, but have been staying here on my Non B visa, but it will expire here in the ending of march, I really want to stay here now I found an amazing girlfriend, but how can I make that possible?

Can I extend my stay with a turist visa and hope I can find a job in that period, ore are there other things I can do, hope there is someone there can help me find a answer.

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi, I am planning on coming to Thailand from South Africa in December. I am hoping to find a teaching position- I have the relevant teaching degree's and experience as well as TEFL course.

I have just heard that they are not giving South Africans visas and we have to sort our visa out in SA before we come as it's the only embassy that will process it? (The non b visa) but I can only get this visa once I have a job right? I've heard though that you can only really secure a teaching position once you in Thailand as they want you to come in to the schools etc. I was going to come on the 30 day exemption stamp you get at the airport and in those 30 days hopefully secure a job and then sort the non b visa and work permit out while there. Now I'm hearing this and stressing a bit. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, I am retiring in October this year and I am marrying my Thai girlfriend of five years, I am also looking to teach English in Thailand. I have no qualifications only to say I come from Cambridge England. I have Flash cards, phonic toys, puzzles and games to help me in teaching. My girlfriend can speak English now, she didn't when we met. I am looking for a job in korat and reading some of the material sent before, I think I need an O visa. The money to stay in Thailand I will have when I retire.
