There is a difference between being a generous person and a complete fool, as far as tipping people that is an American thing not a thailand thing, everything has to be put into perspective, google what ever you want, but reality is living here, a farm worker earns 300 baht per day , a factory worker earns 13,000 baht a month, a qualified welder earns 900 baht for a 10 hour shift and that is what the 3 Thais sitting with me told me they earn, and they find these posts crazy.

The question you asked is not an easy one to answer, there are many hurdles to over come before you open anything. This is my understanding i maybe wrong but I do have some experience in this field, you need to have company to run your business through, but in thailand you can only own 49% of the company the remaining 51% must be owned by 1 or more thai people, you cannot just put a thai person in as a puppet, they must be a financial partner and as such the profit split pro-rata, anything dodgy and you will lose everything and be on the next plane out. This is something the thai Government is clamping down on. So get past that hurdle first.

100% correct these are all good questions that need answering before starting any business, you have the horse in front of the cart 👍🏻and it is a very sensible reply to a not so smart question.

I think thai people in general are old fashioned, do right by them and they will do right by you, and foreigners have a bit of a advantage as they have a bit more cash to make life that little bit easier , but if she's pretending your not in a relationship with her, chances are it's strictly pretend and get the hell out of there.

yes mate my partner was refused first attempt but we put a second in straight away I sent a scaithing email to my solicitor in Bangkok he did the second application for free, because the person handling it did not include half of the information I supplied the second application was approved 6 weeks after the 1st one was rejected. Don't give up there just seeing if your committed 🤣seriously.
