Exited today via Don Mueang airport and was pulled aside at immigration who asked to see a receipt for my visa extension (which I didn’t have) I’d entered on a 60 Tourist Visa and extended once at Koh Samui.
Anyone experienced this before and should I have kept the receipt? Now worried about coming back into Thailand in approximately 2-3 months?
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently exited Thailand without a receipt for a visa extension, prompting concern regarding future re-entry. Experiences shared by others reveal mixed practices regarding receipts—some have always received one, while others do not recall receiving any. Most agree that immigration likely checks for an extension stamp in the passport but may also ask for a receipt as proof. Overall, while it's advisable to keep receipts for extensions, lack of one may not preclude successful re-entry if the passport shows proper stamps.
