UPDATE. Petchabun Immigration. Non O visa (over 50) application yesterday. Irish passport. With my Thai partner.

First we had to update my TM 30 in person as I have just got back here. Entered on visa exempt and got 60 days.

Then we were told to go to the bank and get a letter and statements showing 800000 for the last 2 months. Luckily I have a bank acc and had put the money in the account before my arrival here. The IO wrote down what we needed in Thai to help us before we went to the bank.

Back to the IO and they did all the paperwork. Pages and pages of my bank book transactions and all kinds of other stuff. I just had to sign my name about 50 times on both sets. 2 recent photos. My partner had to hand draw a map of where the house is as they said they would come and visit in the next 2 weeks and provide all kinds of docs about herself.

Now it is 'under consideration' for 3 weeks and we have to go back on 28th to get the Visa confirmed and stamped in my passport.

2 points to note:

First that I needed the money in my bank 2 months before I even applied for the Visa, not the extension.

Second that they will come and visit for a retirement Visa not a marriage visa.

Not many people use Petchabun IO but thought the update might help some of you.

Have any of you had success getting a Schengen visa for Italy for your Thai girlfriend/boyfriend? If yes, agent used? Tips? (I live in US now but will retire in Thailand next September). TIA!

Anyone had good experience with getting an Australian visa for a thai partner to visit as a tourist to Australia?

Im here in retirement visa. I’m planning on going back to US mid-May to attend best friends wedding and be for a month Would love to get my Thai partner to be there with family and friends but I know I know not easy.

I think it’s about assets and perceived escape potential.

She owns property, homes, has teenage daughters she’s responsible for, job but not regular like corporate income. We’ve together a little less than a year - that may be a qualifying or disqualifying factor.

Don’t tell me it’s not easy I know - but maybe there is the right person to ask and maybe make it happen. Like an agency

Hi .....I Am Australian with Thai partner ...she is in Oz and travelling back to Thailand with me end of Nov ...for 91 days ....I was going to apply for 60 days and then do a 30 day do an 1 day overstay but am thinking of 45 day on arrival then 30 days and ride my bike over to Vientiane fir a night and then ride back for a 15 day ?...we are just coming over holiday this time ....we have 2 bed condo we live and i own 2 condos, car, scooter etc bike ... hope it's OK to ask this ?

I will be going to Chiangmai on Monday and would like to understand more of this TM30 process.

Currently under 60 days TRvisa and I will definitely extend.

I will be staying at my Thai Partner’s house however the house is under his mom’s name. The deed of the house is tucked away in the bank and hard to retrieve as it needs permission from family members (spread across the country).

1) what should the process be for tm30? (Chiang mai)

2) do We need the land deed to file?

Not a problem but need to find out true imfo.i have a client .( Falang ) who wants to rent my condo, but doesnt want to register in Nong khai.he is registered in another province .his Thai partner ( woman ) said i can put in her name.? But if Falang lives with her in my condo how do i stand regards to immigration.hope you can give sound clear advise.thank you.

Ive a two week old baby here in L.O.S.

My partner is thai, we are not married and my name is on birth certificate.

I have been here 2 years , with my partner all of that time.

I have been bouncing borders on tourist visa since i arrived, now its becoming a problem, im getting 100 questions at the passport control.

I can get an ext on my visa in 10 days but need to sort a proper visa before that expires begining of march.
