Trauma isn’t what happens, it’s what happens when what happens isn’t spoken to or acknowledged.
100% a child waking into a room where there is (yet) no common language experiences some level of trauma (which is on a spectrum).
It’s really how the parent/guardians/teachers handle the situation and whether or not the child feels safe in expressing the challenges they’re facing that makes all the difference.
My understanding that’s not how it works. I believe only foreigners who were in the country already before March last year are eligible for the Covid extensions.
