look at the website of the thai consulate you're going to use in Australia for the information each one has different processing times.

It's been like that for a good while now. There is no residency requirement for foreigners to get a 6 month METV from any of the thai consulates in Australia. The closest one to Bangkok is Perth.

here's the Melbourne requirements - non-citizens need proof of an e-visa only. Will likely be the same at the others. ******************************************************************************************************************************************
