Does anyone have recent experience coming in through Krabi and having issues? I’ve heard it’s like Bangkok at the moment where they’re being strict about letting people back in even with proper setv/metv’s.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers are inquiring about recent experiences entering Thailand through Krabi, noting reports of stricter immigration enforcement similar to Bangkok. Notably, those with a history of multiple visas and exemptions express caution. Previous travelers advise being well-prepared with cash, proof of onward travel, accommodation, and funds from abroad to alleviate suspicion of unauthorized work.

Thanks for asking the question, but we can not tell you. Okay you have a long history of living in Thailand and a passport full of Tourist Visa and VIsa Exempt Entries. Nothing to do to change this as all these entries and exits are also available at the Immigration Database. Prepare yourself to be questioned, get the 20.000 Thb or equivalent Currency in CASH, proof of onward travel and accommodation. It could help if you have proof of funds coming in from abroad to avoid the suspicion that you work inside Thailand. The decision is made by the Immigration Officer to who you hand over your passport. Only thing left to say is Good Luck.

I have an American passport that’s fairly full of setv’s and exempts.. so yeah cautious of krabi cause of the reports I’ve read.
I’m sure you’re coming from a good place, and of course this is possible, but fear mongering isn’t helpful. I’m obviously aware of these realities or else I wouldn’t be asking this question.

To avoid this, get a visa that fits your purpose of stay. Living in Thailand on Visa Exempt Entry and Tourist Visa is not anymore a way to go.
