Why are comments closed so quickly in the other group, and what can be done about it?

It's official, posting in the other group just leads to frustration and what feels like someone slamming a door against one's nose.

Ask a question and if the powers that be don't like it or feel they know the answer better than anyone else the comments get closed even when there are often no real answers or knowledge shared outside the narrow scope of what they deem to be permissible.

I get they're trying to keep it neat and tidy without inaccurate info or here say but man they really need to work on their social skills.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation expresses frustration over a Facebook group's management, particularly regarding the quick closure of comments on questions. Users feel that the group, controlled by a member named Robert, prioritizes control over providing useful answers, leading to a negative experience. There's a sense that the group is more about enforcing rules than facilitating discussions, which has driven some members to seek alternatives.

What you must remember is the other group is a facts group. Not a discussion group. Robert however needs to crawl back under the slimy rock he came from.

Closing comments is the most stupidest thing I've ever seen on any FB group.

yes. Many times they just close it immediately if it's a common question and tell the person to search on their own.

Sometimes people don't have time to search through the group or Google to look for answers. They might be in a hurry or in trouble and looking for someone who can provide direct answer.

it would be one thing if it was after a couple days but they literally close comments within a half hour of someone posting lol. It’s ridiculous.

I was following another group but got so tired of seeing all the bickering, negativity, and name calling I just disconnected from there. Here is much more civil.

If you make your exit from the big group make a splash... when I left there was 200 new subscribers here because I linked this group when I exited. It is your one time opportunity to tell what you think. You can do it after 12 because Robert is sleeping.

We all know you are talking about Robert Lagas. Tod daniels is trying his best but Robert hold all the power. Robert is just a dictator, some people are like that and too old to change.

This post was actually more in response to James Miller than anyone else..

Tod is fine, he let you talk, plus he is very accurate. Robert is just wrong half the time.

Todd Daniels is another with a King Edwards sized chip on his shoulder. Always looks to attack first and understand second. And it always amazes me how many people gravitate towards jobs that require a service mentality, yet it’s the very quality they personally lack. How does that work exactly? You’re either service minded, or you’re not. Full stop. Just get out of Dodge if you’re not. And don’t be thinking because you have some useful info, that somehow that absolves you of your stinking attitude. I got news for you. It doesn’t. In few other countries but Thailand would you get away with that. Get over yourself.

It’s all a power trip, nothing less nothing more. Sad aul 3untz
