I’m in Chiang Mai and contemplating a flight out and back on the same day for my next visa excursion. Can anyone verify this is allowed? Thanks.
(I did search before I asked, not much recent info..)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is in Chiang Mai and is considering a same-day flight for a visa excursion. They seek confirmation on whether this is permissible. Comments from the community suggest that it's allowed to stay in transit without leaving the airport, and clarify the user's intent regarding visa requirements.
You don't even need to leave the airport at your destination.... can even stay trough transit. Scroll down there's an account somewhere of someone doing this in KL.

What is a Visa excursion? You need to do a border bounce, out in, to get a new admitted to stay on your multiple entry visa? Or you go and want to come back using Visa Exempt Entry? Or do you need a new Visa?
