Tm30 question:

If the landlord of the place I’m going to rent is not in Thailand at the moment, how would they fill out the tm30? Could they do it online?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If the landlord is not in Thailand, they can fill out the TM30 form online in some cases, or the tenant can self-report at immigration provided they have the necessary documents, such as a signed copy of the landlord's ID card and tabian baan (house registration). In Bangkok, tenants may even self-file without needing input from their landlord, only requiring the lease and other necessary paperwork.

If you're in Bangkok you can self file without needing anything from your landlord, just your lease (and the other required paperwork)

They can do it online. Some IO allow you to self report as well, as long as you have a signed copy of your landlord's ID card and tabian baan

do you think they would accept a printed version since the landlord is out of country? (generally speaking..)

yes, if he's reporting online. He can download the receipt slip or a screen capture when it gets approved

I forgot that ID. They want it for everything.

I think passport and rental contract, maybe a Google pin. In Chiang Mai it's a pretty simple process with the team in the back office.

Hopefully someone else has exact documents.
