Garth Gardner No. If a non O you can renew at local immigration.

Check thai immigration website for documents required.

Most want 2 copies, get 3 or 4.

SIGN ALL IN BLUE PEN.

Go a month before expires as each office requires additional documents.

Will give you time to get them.

Get a certificate of residence from immigration. Just a slip of paper.

Go to the district office and apply for a thai id card.

Then apply for the yellow tabian.

You can not go in the thai blue tabian.

All thuis rubbish and if you separate your, by thai law get 50% the value.

8 years since I did mine so get your wife to check with District office first

Things must change.

8 years ago I got a 1 year non O, multiple entry visa from thai embassy London for holidays.

ALWAYS try your own countries thai embassy first.

Plan ahead. Less problems.

Changed to non O married, and just Renew every year.

This I never understand.

My first visa was in 2018 and I sent all my documents to the thai embassy with bank statements showing after Conversion I had 800,000THB.

My visa arrived a week later for 1 YEAR

Some angry people are posting prices they must have been going America.

A visa application costs, March 2026.

1900thb.

A health certificate you can get from a government hospital for 100thb.

Landlords must report you stay within 24 hours and it requires them to produce their ID and house tabian.

This is to stop criminal activity
