I was in hospital and missed my visa extension by a day. Even with hospital letters they still fine me a day and put an overstay stamp in my passport. They said someone should have come on my behalf . This was in Bangkok

glad you got sorted. Just a heads up about your note for immigration. I was in hospital in Bangkok last year and couldn't go to immigration to do my visa. The hospital issued me with a letter but when I went to immigration they still fined me and stamped an overstay in my passport. Hopefully won't happen to you but just be prepared

I wasn't made aware if this. I was told to take it when I went to immigration to explain why I was late. Immigration actually said I should have come before I got covid as if I knew I was going to get it
