The country you apply from doesn't matter... what does matter is that you remain in that country you applied from until approval. You'll likely here some people managed to do it anyway BUT it's an unnecessary risk. It's better for you to apply when you're in Spain and stay in Spain until a decision is made.

Applied from London myself, didn't have to reach back out to them but it certainly can't do any harm. I'd suggest both an email detailing and re-affirming (with attachments) your flight date and times and politely requesting an expediated review. Call them to follow this up once emailed. No guarantees either way but a polite call can't do any harm. the sooner the better too with it being the holiday season.

I did workcation but was not asked for all the extra information. I did supply lots of information for where I was but didn't have much for the stay in Thailand. As 904 recommends above your best bet in this case would be t book refundable accommodation and tickets and then you can always adjust as your plans in country develop.

This time of year is expensive with it being the holidays but Malaysia may be your best option flight wise. Better to find somewhere you want to visit for a week or so and just take nice break.

For workcation I showed full three month statement highlighting in green salary deposits and the end balance in yellow so they could see clearly the balance and regular money 👌🏾

Anonymous participant if that’s all they’ve put then nobody will be able to tell unless it shows specifically on their computer screens what type. Either way you’ll be fine

I also have been traveling a lot and recently used London and it went through pretty quickly.

Not sure about the funds being on a separate platform though so would suggest they are in a bank account you have immediate access to. Also highlight on that statement any salty deposits or invoices paid to you.

Portfolio should be great but I’d suggest adding additional captures showing how you didn’t work. Screen captures almost like a story board of conception to completion with your website portfolio as the end product.

The ‘remarks’ section will likely be an indicator of the school/class/gym etc for soft power. It can state ‘employment Prohibited’ for workcation. So I think from the remarks the IO will be able to work out what DTV you’re on.

Can’t answer for sponsor but in terms of a savings account that’s fine as long as it’s your name and address. Personally I would submit evidence of both, a savings and your day to day so they can see you’re good either way.

I submitted savings, and day to day with closing balance highlighted in yellow to show over 500,000 THB and salary deposits highlighted in green just to show regular income.
