You can always ask for the COVID extension right away and see what they do for you

They are scrutinizing applicants more intensely now but that doesn’t mean you will be denied…just go try for it and see what happens you will either get the COVID extension or the 7 day to get out of Thailand extension…good luck and as always look into a plan B
