Bangkok Bank and K bank will open and account... savings though. Will give you an ATM debit card also. Might depend upon which branch... the day of the week and who you speak to... so it is no in the morning... then go back after lunch... this is Thailand... things change for no reason...lol.

Been told by both banks that with 45 day one can have an account.

Have a look at the admins of this site. Very highly recommended and very helpful by many that I have known for over the years.

Go to the teller inside the bank. They will the transaction using your ATM card. Yes slower than going to a machine as you might have to wait to have your number called... but easy enough. Also NEVER use an ATM that is not at a bank branch. Independently owned ATMs are questionable... and not just here in thailand

You should go to the local immagration office and explain that you need the extra 3 days. They will likely give you a short extension to cover those days. Should not be a problem as you have a confirmed outbound ticket. But DO NOT just hope no one notices (which is possible). An over stay is to be avoided at all costs. So be friendly... smile... dress nice... and ask for the an extra 3 day extension at an immigration office.
