It may depend on which immigration office you're using as well. Admins might need your location to help more accurately.

In my personal opinion there are quite a few questions asked on here by people hiding much of their history with visas or that they are, for example, working on a tourist visa or exemption. Many of these get insulting when they are caught out on this in the comments on their post. Also when given advice to be here legally. I think they are looking for ways to short cut immigration and when not given what they want they blow up.

The advice given here is accurate and informative. Anyone who has been dealing with immigration for a while knows, with out a doubt, that immigration officers can and will decide if you can enter thailand and will happily override valid visas just obtained at a consulate.

Sounds good to me. As far as I can see immigration themselves can't answer that question at the moment.

My experience (twice in two different offices) was I had to make a police report - simple to do - and take that along to immigration they then looked up my tm6 number and wrote it on a blank tm6.

Could it be they asked for the extra info because you didn't have the correct financial requirements?

Well run informative page with accurate information . Can't ask for more than that. And although sometimes I am enjoying a thread with unnecessary comments I agree that once the correct information has been given, stopping inaccurate and confusing info is needed.
