Hey all- USA passport, entered as tourist via visa free waiver, and my 30th day is Sunday. Immigration offices closed on the weekend, my mistake for not keeping track of the days.
If I go Monday to do the extension after having overstayed by 1 day, will they kick me out, or can I pay the overstay penalty and still make the extension?
Trying to avoid having to book a flight/bus out and back just for a re-entry that way.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The person holding a USA passport has overstayed their tourist visa by one day and is concerned about the consequences of this overstay when they visit the immigration office on the next working day. According to community insights, if the last day of stay falls on a weekend or public holiday, visiting the immigration office the next working day can be allowed, with some offices potentially issuing an overstay stamp without imposing fines. It is important to approach the situation carefully to avoid complications.

only the first part: If the last day of your Admitted to Stay is in a weekend or on a National Holiday when Immigration Offices are closed, you may visit the Immigration Office the next working day. Some will put the overstay stamp in your passport but no fines.
I’m in Bangkok. Yes I know I could’ve avoided it by doing it earlier, it’s my mistake, already past that point. Need to figure out the best plan going forward from today.
If the last day of your Admitted to Stay is in a weekend or on a National Holiday when Immigration Offices are closed, you may visit the Immigration Office the next working day. Some will put the overstay stamp in your passport but no fines. To avoid this you can visit almost every Immigration Office during the last 30 days of your Admitted to Stay, Bangkok, Buriram, Phuket and Chang Mai even 45 days before your last day. Only Pattaya and Samui shorten that period to 15 or even 7 days. The Extension of Stay is added to your current stay, so you will not lose any days by going early.
