I just transferred money to BKK Bank but it will take 24 hours. That's unusual in my experience

I need to have my 'visa money' in my That bank a/c two months BEFORE I apply for the visa extension. Once I have been granted the visa, I can withdraw it for ten months. The amount is 400k for a married person or 800k for a person not married to a Thai. If you don't have that amount, then you can show that you have sufficient monthly income. You don't need both. There are variations between provinces but they are not massive.

It is an extra payment on top of the cost of the visa. Last time I got one, it was 1,900 B for the visa and 3,900 B for the multiple entry .

Why not check on the Thai Immigration website? I mean, the info will be more accurate and up-to-date. The rules change often

It depends if you have a multiple entry visa. If not, leaving TL will cancel it, or perhaps you can buy a re-entry permit before leaving.
