Given this advice, does bringing the pet look like being a tourist on a three month visa?

I know this is a visa group, but “alternatively, I can marry my Thai National girlfriend” should involve a lot more consideration than just getting a marriage visa.

The fees come in the foreign money conversion with them that is required. Additionally, as others have reported, it works on some of the QR networks but not others. You can have it work for some vendors in a market but not others, so I always had cash too.

I thought the immigration officer could always say something, even if you have a visa.

“Never even knew that Thai Immigration even existed” - this statement after 110 visits to Thailand probably excludes you as a real tourist. Real tourists enter a country through immigration control points (such as official land border crossings, airports, seaports) and will have encountered Thai Immigration. So, if this is not the case, one of two things is likely:

- your entries into Thailand were uncontrolled border crossings, as in brief crossings from a bordering country

- you intentionally avoided immigration and illegally entered the country without a visa and without being granted visa exempt entry officially

“Don’t give them nothing.” = Do give them something.

So a single baht was insufficient so how much do you give them?

If this was the original flight on a single ticket, Alaska might be the only time a person would check in. In this case, Alaska might be the one to ensure immigration will be possible. I have had United check things (eg COVID vaccine and insurance when it was required) even though the trip was United then ANA after Tokyo.

Can you press the translate button that comes up on every reply in another language? I believe most of these responses were likely acknowledging a language the poster likely spoke and may be one they are more comfortable responding in. The post was automatically translated for me.

My experience is that Anonymous posters have less accountability. It is also difficult sometimes for good responses to happen when identity isn't known. Threading and following can get difficult when there are Anonymous people responding to Anonymous posters.
