Thank you Andrew. We are only staying 7 months or so until
our new home is built in Australia. We are more than excited to travel Thailand staying 1 month at a time in different areas or how ever long we decide. This has been on our bucket list for 15 yrs. Now we r free to do so.
To everyone - yes we needed proof of insurance.
Yes we needed proof of funds in Australian bank. No we did not need to put $$ in a Thai back. 😎
pretty sure the only embassy is in Canberra. I don’t think you can lodge visa applications in Sydney n bris office. You can email Canberra and they promptly respond. Don’t try and phone you’ll never get thru.
Our application ready to be posted to Canberra. The whole process is easy and the application is on line to be printed.
Not sure which country you are from however the Thai embassy in Aust will answer emails quickly. I could never get through on the phone. I’d suggest you keep your questions short and clear in dot point. Good luck.
yes us too!! As our Aussie insurance co would not fill out the Thai form. To satisfy the retirement 12 month visa we found the cheapest with the highest deductible $3m Baht. We are using Liberty Mutual thru mister parkan
