You could apply for Non O in Thailand instead then no insurance requirements (outside of any Covid coverage that may required if Thai Pass still required at your time if travel).

yes us too!! As our Aussie insurance co would not fill out the Thai form. To satisfy the retirement 12 month visa we found the cheapest with the highest deductible $3m Baht. We are using Liberty Mutual thru mister parkan
