 it was a few years ago, I went in with my old passport and new one. They did it for me, the immigration guy moaned that I should of done it in bkk as I picked my new passport up there

Get a cheap one to Cambodia etc, some allow you to cancel the flight if you book on line

As far as I am aware your landlord does your TM30 not the renter, as they are liable for the fine if its not done
