TLDR : Answer Summary
European passport holders can obtain numerous visa exemptions (30 days) when entering Thailand; however, the total number allowed may vary based on their method of entry. By law, there is a limit of 2 entries per calendar year at land borders. There is no official limit for air entries, but frequent visits (e.g., every month) can raise suspicions with immigration officials, potentially leading to denial of entry after multiple exemptions. It’s advisable for longer stays to consider applying for a tourist visa, which offers a more stable option for immigration.

There is no limit (by air).

When going to Thailand for 31 - 60 ( 90 )days, the 60 days touristvisa is the best option.
It is cheaper than visaexcempt + 30 days extension.
No need of a onward ticket ( 90 days 1 onward ), if returnticket within 60 days.
It is easier to apply from the comfort of your home.

Not wasting holiday time to find, go to and waiting at a immigration office ( 90 you would need that ).
No need to leave Thailand in up to 90 days.

Entered BKK 6 times 2023, Vietnam visa run. Never a comment. Canadian PP.
schedule, so I was in and out frequently by air. Immigration grew tired of it after about 2 yrs. Told me to get an appropriate visa. He gave me a card for a visa service, which I’m sure he gets a cut 🤷♂️. I was over the 50yr old mark so I bit the bullet and got the visa.

Except for only the two land border crosses a year, if you are following a pattern of being a tourist visiting the other countries you are crossing out of Thailand into, and not just re-entering Thailand the same day, or a day later, you'll be fine, as lots of tourists base out of Thailand when visiting the surrounding countries.

With normal borderran up to 8. after pay extra.

Better off getting 60 day multi tourist visa before traveling, you can extend d for 30days in country. Then you can do a boarder run and repeat

FYI: You might have a better chance if you stand in line where the IO is a male rather then a female officer 👮♂️ who dots every I and crosses every T. Not a guarantee but it’s been good for me….Good Luck 🍀
agree and if ur over 70 use the old people, monks, pregnant line

13 would be the max. There are 365 days in every year. Let us know how it works out!

there's no fixed number but if you spend over 6months in thailand without a proper visa, you might get pulled apart at the airport to figure out while you come here this often. You should consider to apply for a multi entry tourist visa which can guarantee you up to 9 months in the country...
Currently, not all European countries get 30 days Visa Exemption, some even get 90 days, some don't have Visa Exemption, but 15 days Visa on Arrival (VoA) which need to apply for at the port of entry.
Currently, even some Schengen countries need a Thai Visa before traveling to Thailand!
Please kindly specify which particular country one would like to inquire about....

The only limit written into law is how many times you can enter at a land border with visa exempt. That limit is 2 times per calendar year.
If entering by air, there is no legal limit. All entries are at the discretion of the immigration officer you are standing in front of. You will not be able to use visa exempt entries, and other short term entries, to stay in Thailand long term. Most likely after 2-3 visa exempt entries you will be pulled aside at the airport and asked what the hell you're doing, and warned to get a long term visa or risk being denied entry into Thailand.
