At least someone tried to address the actual question! For the OP obviously almost no one here has dealt with money orders for awhile. She just needs to find out why it can't be cashed...and if she can't overcome that you need to call the company and see what your options are for verifying it was not cashed or how to cancel it, or have it returned to you.

I opened Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn accounts on the same day, 20 meters from each other (not in Bangkok). Just try another branch. Each branch seems to have their own rules.

Correct. I'll be applying for an extension of the Non OA as I realize now that the 5 days is sufficient time to complete.

Ok...if the 5 days is not a problem, then I got bad advice from a friend here. I will make sure I have everything in order for when I apply for the extension.

I will let those that are more qualified answer but I have never heard of an Non-O visa (which he has used before) somehow magically changing to an Non-OA while applying for an extension in Thailand. A non-OA can only be obtained if applied for in your home country. It sounds like he was, and still remains, on a Non-0 visa.

To be safe, I used FedEX from US to Thailand recently. Paid a lot for the service but got much needed package in 4 days.
