No one to blame but myself for the situation I put myself in. At this point only looking for any options that will allow me to stay in Thailand without leaving the country and starting the new visa process again. Details:
1) US passport holder,
2) On a Non-OA (entry stamp valid until 21 Feb 2021),
3) 800+k baht in Thai bank since 16 December 2020,
4) Have insurance (including COVID coverage)
I would have to wait until 16 Feb (two months seasoning of funds) to apply for an extension of stay on my current Non OA which is not likely enough time (5 days) to get the approval. So, what options (if any) do I have to remain in Thailand and then could later apply for a Non-O based on retirement?
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on how to extend their Non-OA visa in Thailand without having to leave the country. They are a US passport holder with a Non-OA entry stamp valid until February 21, 2021, and have maintained the required 800,000+ baht in a Thai bank account since mid-December 2020, along with having the necessary insurance. There's concern about the tight timeline, as they have only five days until the visa's expiration and are told that it takes a minimum of two months to apply for an extension. The comments suggest that if all paperwork is in order, the extension process is typically swift and can be completed in one day. It is advised to gather all required documents ahead of time to avoid issues during the process.
