But yeah some people reported successful extension after multiple document fixing trips to immigration

Go to immigration with all your paperwork from the visa application (updated), learn what else they want for extension from them.

From other people stories, they invent really crazy stuff like bringing your home owner id, and the plan of the unit and picture of you in it.

I think they don’t want to deal with DTV, don’t know why but extending is 100 times more than getting the visa itself.

Yes, much easier just to fly for a day trip.

The hotel/airbnb you stay at the time should do TM30 for you, the TM30 is your address.

While most of hotels can do TM30 for you, most airbnb can only do it if you book 30+ days (since short term rent is illegal).

If you stay at your friend rental place, you can ask his agent/owner to do the TM30 for you.

I was asked how much time I plan to stay, and if I plan to visit my home country soon (probably bad mood of the officer).

I smiled and answered everything, in 2 minutes was stamped and free to go

1. It’s fine. Again - it’s confusing that your TM30 says it’s valid until the end of the year, but actually it’s not valid - and it didn’t mention it anywhere. It’s not my first time doing 90 reports, my yearly TM30 was always accepted.

2. Totally acceptable.

I didn’t write to go off about Thai immigration, I write to help no repeat the same mistakes- for sure there people will my type of “common sense” here who might see it and avoid these issues (:

In my common sense and many others :

1. If you have a yearly rental, and it’s stated black on white on the TM30 that your checkout is end of the year - there is no reason for it to become magically invalid when you left the country for 1 day.

2. If you had a car accident and you spend some time in ER and physically can’t walk or drive to do the 90 days report, I think they can be a lil bit flexible just for 1 day late, provided valid documentation from hospital and exact dates of stay in it.

Not wrote this to yap about immigration or Thailand, not at all, just to help others not assume the same assumptions and not repeat the same mistakes.

yes my bad,it’s going to be 2,000 baht anyway.

I planned to do it near the end but had an accident and couldn’t. They won’t accept any excuses even if have documentation to prove - which is acceptable 🤷‍♂️
