there are posts of people asking the bank if owning a property is a requirement, bank telling them no. Its what you believe in, go ask yourself and you'll see, thats the best way.

I crossed cambodian land border (ban pakkad) for 1minute and came back, no questions asked. Will do same to Laos in 3 weeks

Which border you crossed? I had my first run at ban pakkad cambodian border, it was 15mins and i was back in my car heading back home, no questions asked. Now I have to go different border and Im thinking of vientiane during a road trip to north

They do tend to ask for payslips, i think its for 1. Verify you really work (especially if workcation) 2. To see how you support yourself in Thailand, since i think the 500k is seen as a backup if something happens to you. I have never seen any info about income requirement, i dont think there are
