I know about one case, after second extension of STV he wanted to switch to Elite Visa - and paid for it. No chance to switch directly, no chance to get a covid extension and switch from there...

Finally flew out and returned a week later on visa exempt, then got the Elite sticker affixed while in quarantine.

This was Bangkok immigration.

it is very unlikely to get ANY other visa or even a covid extension on your STV as it isn't possible to change into any other (that's what the rules say for STV)

to get CoE it will be ok, not mandatory to have insurance for extension of Tourist Visa.

If wanting one, check with Luma as you can buy it beeing in country as well.

There is no stay-one-year Non-O visa besides the OA (retirement), need to get the one year extension in country.

But as mentioned above, currently no international arrivals / departures at CNX, so not accessible / needed.
