Hello, if I come to Thailand on a Non Immigrant O-A (long stay retirement visa) with single -entry, can I immediatly after entering the kingdom get a multiple-entry permission at the immigration ?

so that I can leave and reenter the kingdom any time during this 1 year period of validity ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you enter Thailand on a Non Immigrant O-A (long stay retirement) visa that is marked as single-entry, you can go to the immigration office after your arrival to apply for a multiple-entry permit. This permit allows you to leave and re-enter Thailand within the one-year validity of your visa. The cost for a single re-entry is 1,000 baht, while a multiple re-entry permit costs 3,800 baht. It is essential to verify the type of visa you have upon arrival, as the O-A visa is typically issued as multi-entry, but single-entry versions can occasionally be granted.

Just make sure when you leave that you get the exit/re-entry stamp at the airport?

Only at some. Bangkok International Airport sells it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

I’d guess it would be the same for CM.

IF in fact you were sold a single entry Non-Immigrant Type O-A visa (which actually does exist just is very rarely issued) once you get in to the country you will be stamped in for a year (or how ever long your 100K USD covid and 40k/400k out/in-patient health insurance is valid for up to a year)

You could go to the immigration office and buy a re-entry permit (single re-entry 1000baht, and multiple re-entry 3800baht) and that would allow you to exit/re-enter and get stamped in until the original entry stamp you got when you first came in expires during that time.

There is no need to come in, get thru quarantine and race to the immigration office to get a re-entry permit. As long as you bought on BEFORE you exited the country (you can buy them at Suvarnabhumi airport when you go to fly out) it will be valid the whole length of your entry stamp

If they are telling you it is a single entry then you might want to check and see if they are really giving you an OA visa.

no matter what the "agency" told you, when you get the visa sticker in your passport LOOK at it and see what it says. It will clearly stating whether it's a single or multiple entry under the "No. of Entry"

thank you.

A Non-OA visa is a one year multiple entry visa. On each entry you are stamped for one year. You can enter and leave as many times as you like on the visa.

@Hans ******
everytime I have applied for the Non OA the application requires you select either single or multiple entry. Same price. $200. So it is possible for this type of visa to be single entry. Not sure why anyone would select that option.

And this visa "agent", is this visa agent inside or outside Thailand?

they are wrong. The O-A visa is a Multi-entry visa good for one full year from date of issue.
