Hello. I currently hold a STV visa that will expire on December 15th. Does anyone know if Itโs possible to get the covid extension visa for two months after my STV. Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster (OP) inquires about the possibility of obtaining a two-month COVID extension for their STV visa, which is set to expire on December 15. Various comments highlight that the last day to apply for a 60-day COVID extension was September 27, making it highly unlikely for the OP to obtain any extension as they are already within their visa validity until mid-December. Some users also note the restrictions on changing from an STV visa to another visa type, indicating that extensions or changes are not ordinarily permitted under current rules.

I'm shutting this down. A couple of comments claimed they were able to get a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, but no proof was given (so I removed the comments).
But it wouldn't make sense for the OP to apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 anyway, AS OF RIGHT NOW. The last day they are selling these extension of stays is September 27, and the OP is already stamped in until mid December; longer then the COVID-19 extension of stay.
I don't see the point in keeping commenting open. Thank you.

it is very unlikely to get ANY other visa or even a covid extension on your STV as it isn't possible to change into any other (that's what the rules say for STV)

I know about one case, after second extension of STV he wanted to switch to Elite Visa - and paid for it. No chance to switch directly, no chance to get a covid extension and switch from there...
Finally flew out and returned a week later on visa exempt, then got the Elite sticker affixed while in quarantine.
This was Bangkok immigration.

Seeing as the current 60 day covid extension plan runs out on Monday Sept 27th (unless they extend it) I'd say nope ๐ฎ you got no chance to get a covid extension off a stamp that expires the middle of December ๐

It's currently September 15th. You have three months before your 90 day extension of stay based on STV expires. The last day to apply for a 60 day extension of stay AS OF RIGHT NOW is September 27. I recommend waiting until early December to look for ways to stay longer.

Let's sort out what you're actually asking
When did you enter the country on this STV? Are you on the first 90 day entry stamp OR are you on one of the two 90 day extensions you can get off it?
